Meet Myiesha Taylor, MD

Dr. Myiesha Taylor is a preeminent physician, educator, and advocate, steadfast in her mission to promote holistic health and empowerment. A summa cum laude graduate in Chemistry from Xavier University of Louisiana, she continued her academic journey at the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine, where she earned her medical degree.

During her residency at the Los Angeles County Drew Medical Center, a leading program in Emergency Medicine, she excelled and became the only woman Chief Resident in the program's history.

Dr. Taylor's efforts in health advocacy and physician well-being have not only earned her a spot as a Women’s Media Center She Source expert but also led to significant recognitions including being featured on NBC Nightly News' "Inspiring America" segment and numerous Disney Junior interstitials. In a special tribute to her influence, Disney Junior named the mother character Myiesha McStuffins in the popular children’s TV show, Doc McStuffins. Her remarkable contributions have garnered her several accolades including the Dallas Women’s Foundation Young Leader Award, Dallas Business Journal’s 40 Under 40, D Magazine's Moms Who Inspire, and recognition as one of HBCU Digest’s Most Powerful People. She has also been honored by the Fort Worth Business Press as a Great Woman of Texas.

Currently, Dr. Taylor serves as the South Central Regional Chair on the National Task Force Our Health Matters at Jack and Jill of America, Inc. She champions maternal and infant health as the International Chairwoman for Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Incorporated's Project CRADLE Care, a program dedicated to mitigating health disparities and reducing maternal and infant mortality rates.

Beyond her advocacy roles, Dr. Taylor is a published author and a central figure in the field of medical cannabis research, serving as a Medical Advisor for Cannformatics Medical Cannabis Biotechnology. She is a co-founder of Indoc Solutions, a telemedicine enterprise offering specialized physician support across the nation.

Complementing her medical endeavors, Myiesha is a distinguished educational strategist, dedicated to empowering parents to navigate their children's educational journey. She has established herself as a foremost voice in the realms of homeschooling, gifted education, and early college initiatives. In this role, she serves on the executive board of the Gifted Education Family Network and contributes her expertise as an Expert Content Advisor for the Texas State Board of Education.
